Beautiful Dancer

I have entered this card in
“Birthday Wishes” challenge 140…
This is the first card that I have made with some stamps that I won recently (thanks Angela).  It is a tag, using distress inks, and heaps of distressing…my favourite thing to do at the moment. The pearl spray didn’t look right in white, so I have coloured them in orange copics and it seems to have added balance with the colours.  The image is also stamped in distress inks, two colours, and I let the background ink be the colouring in.  I hope you enjoy the effect….It was fun to make, and the birthday girl loved the card! ( and that’s always a bonus isn’t it…lol)

From the Cellars of Dot…

This card I have made for a male friend’s 50th.  I wanted it to have a very rich feel to it and not be too girly. The browns and purples seem to work well together.  On the purple background paper I have stamped misc. small wine stamps in versamark watermark ink. I used my distress inks for the first time, by masking the wine glass, sponging with the inks and then spraying it with a fine mist of water ~ and it has added a real texture to the card. I hope you enjoy this card. xxx

Lady in Distress

A big thankyou to Susan from Two Pink Ladies for tips on distressing and giving a stranger the encouragement to have a go!
I have entered the lady in PaperPlay Challenges ~ no. 5 “Stamp It Out”
And also in The Sisterhood Of Crafters “Anything Goes”

Wow, the table has been in a mess for days now…and I am really satisfied with the outcome.  It was great fun to make a mess and get all inked up!!!   I have added Adirondack lettuce ink to the green paper to give it heaps more depth of colour and cover the distressed edges.  And I have added some flourishes in the same ink.   The die cut flourish is used to continue the theme.  Some studs were coloured with a red copic and they really came up nice, and the other studs were left grey to match the paper.   Most edges have been finished off with stickles, spread thinly, which has really caught the green and brought it out more.
Stamps: Miss Swanson from Artee Stamps, and misc. flourishes.
Inks:      Archival Ink ~ sepia, Marvy Matchables ~ wine, Memento ~ sweet plum, Adirondack ~ lettuce and butterscotch
Papers:  Kaiser Crafts, Brazill cardstock
Misc:      stickles ~ antique linen, copic caio ~ R29, sizzix die cuts, studs, magic mount and a flower from my box.
