Cherish the Moment

(because it has HEAPS of layers)
This little lady is just sooo gorgeous, I had to make another card with her…what I have done different with this project is in the centre ~ I have stamped “Miss Swanson” (Artee Stamps) onto sticky transparency with Stayz-On black ink, and then stuck it onto mustard coloured paper from KC. The effect is she is shiny like a button, and very rich in appearance (one of my favourite things to do)!!! Then my new nestabilities circles added to the effect.  The black card is distressed and gold embossed around the edge.  The papers are Kaiser Craft and the inks are DI.  The strands of pearls I’ve coloured with copic E37 which gives it a golden look.

Thoughtful Reflections

This stamp is one that Angela, from In My Quiet Time, sent to me..Angela, I hope you enjoy this card.
I have stamped her onto Kaiser Craft paper, and coloured with copics.  The edge is torn, then coloured with DI scattered straw and dipped in walnut ink.  The rest is just layered papers and card.  The ribbon has been cut to make it more interesting and held in place by two brads coloured with a red copic.  The butterflies are stamped onto paper with black ink and then clear embossed and cut out.  They are finished off with some beads on their bodies. They just seem to finished off the card nicely I think.
I love this card, and I hope you do to….Enjoy!

Princess Pretty

A wonderful friend of mine just had her 5th baby….and 1st girl (congratulations Phil and Lisa) ~ so I wanted to make something special for her.  I really wanted this card to be crisp.  Not grungy.  But no matter how I looked at it, I just had to add something…soooo…on went the Picket Fence crackle paint!  Then I wiped Worn Lipstick DI over it for effect.  If I had a chance to make this card again, I would put MORE crackle paint on around the outside. Next time…and maybe leave it white. If you look closely I have put glitter around the edge of the circle and on the wings/ribbon of the angel.

Sweet 16?

My son is turning 16, and seeing as he really liked the Grungy Butterflies card, I decided to make him one with moths and dragonflies….a few studs and tickets and it is just right for him.
The tickets I downloaded from Miss Cutiepie. Then I stamped the different words from a new mixed set of acrylic stamps from Kaiser Crafts with Black Soot Ranger Inks.
The edge of each layer of paper is distressed, ran through some watermark ink, dipped in gold embossing powder and then heated.  The number 16 is also done the same way!
Something new for this card is the tassles.  It is a braid that I bought in a material shop which I have just stuck to the back of the card and separated the strands.  Gotta keep it boyish…Enjoy!
