Sail the High Seas

"Sail the High Seas"

I was in the mood to make a card for a male...
especially as I had this new stamp that I just haven't got around to using.
So sailing the high seas it is!
It reminds me of the "Endeavour" sailing ship
when it was in our port not too long ago.

The techniques here are few as I really just wanted the main image to shine.
I have masked the shells and distressed the sentiment.
And had my first go with my water brushes to colour the image.

The sentiment and shells are from Chocolate Baroque, the sailing ship is from Crafty Individuals
and the tag is a Tim Holtz stamp.
The gorgeous paper is Graphics 45 which I came across in
Adelaide recently...I discovered  the craft store "Camelot"
and I will definitely be going back there!!!

I am entering this card into the following challenges ~
~ Alphabet Challenge Blog - N is for nautical
~ Card Crafter's Circle - Rich and Earthy Colours
~ The Outlawz Challenge - Twisted Thursday (Boats, Sailboats or Canoes)
~ Simon Says Stamp and Show - show your favourite technique (mine is masking)

My first reaction to this card was "WOW, stunning!" Then I noticed that word seems to be a common adjective throughout many of the comments. It is a perfect word, though, because your card is lovely and -- yes -- stunning! Thank you for entering it in this week's challenge at Card Crafter's Circle.
