Spring Flowers

"Spring Flowers"

I have a brief this year to make a birthday card
for each child in a year 10 class at work...
about 20, 16 yr olds!
I thought I would blog them as I go
as ideas for this age can be really difficult sometimes.

They are so grown up (but not) at this age...
I have a 16 and an 18yr old boy at home and it is such an in between age for them.

This card is one layer, except for the butterfly.
The techniques used are masking and reverse masking...
and of course, lots of ink!
I really like this style of ripping and masking at the moment.
These are made with some new stamps from Darkroom Door that arrived yesterday
and I just had to have a play!

Enjoy!

I am entering this in the following challenges ~

It's beautiful Dot, the lilacs and oranges are not a colour that comes automatically to mind but my don't they work well.

This has such depth its hard to believe it's a one layer - fabulously done Dot! The clean contrasts are gorgeous. Off to google reverse masking. Nicola x
