On Your Bike...

On Your Bike

My eldest boy turns 18 this week, and seeing as he loves motorbikes,
this card is for him.
He often jumps on the back of his dad's bike and they spend many hours "cruising" around...
and he loves it.

I hope they don't do mono's like I did when I was around his age!!!
I remember hair raising bike rides along
the Great Ocean Road (I would've enjoyed it more if I could take in the scenery
without hanging on for dear life!
(that's when I got very good at the leaning part of it)
~ and mono's up the main street...
when boyfriends showed off to their mates
with how far they could go on one wheel, with a passenger on the back!...
it just would've been good to have had some warning at the time lol

 The good ol' days!

ummm...lucky to be alive still really!

This card is done with alcohol inks in the background
and a Darkroom Door stamp.
The words are hand done and the wheel embellie is from TH to add the mechanical element
that boys seem to love.
And a little distressing for atmosphere and to add a vintage feel!

I think the worst part of bike rides is trying to get the knots out of your hair afterwards..

Happy 18th Birthday Jake!

Enjoy!

I am entering this card into the following challenges ~

Dot, this is amazing and Jake will be so thrilled! Love how masculine this card is and just perfect for the big "18." The "Born To Ride" really pops! Love this and I may be a total coward now, but there was a time I was not! Hugs!
