"Trees with Autumn Colours" at FSC

'Trees with Autumn Colours'
is the new challenge this fortnight at FSC.
Remember, stamping must be the focal point of your creation...and then just follow the theme and you are win with a chance of winning!

For this card I have used a Unity stamp which I thought went beautifully with a tree stripped bare by the autumnal winds.

This card has been kept quite simple as it is more about the feeling of enjoying the breeze and embracing the season.
I quite like the simplicity and the calming feeling of peace that it brings.

The girls at FSC have come up with some inspiring and very different versions on the theme this time.
Please pop on over and check out the awesomeness of the fashionettes,
be inspired and maybe join in the fun.
Flonzcraft are our sponsors this fortnight and have a generous $20 gift voucher up for grabs,

"Just a little bit Gothic"

'Just a Little Bit Gothic'
Mum...can you please make me a card?
was the request from my eldest son this week

He has a new girlfriend and really wanted to impress her...
so my instructions were that it had to have black roses and be purple.

ummm....
so I channeled my inner goth and came up with this.

Three of my favourite stamps at the moment are in this...
The arch is from The Artist Stamper, the girl from Art Journey
and the moon from 100 Proof Press (this is new and I am loving it already!!!)

The rose I just came across in my stash and I didn't even realise that I had it...but I quite like this one as it has good movement.

And the good news is that she loooved her card!
Bonus points for my son I think lol.

Enjoy!

I would like to enter this into the following challenge~

'Fashion' at FSC

"Fashion"
is the new challenge at Fashionable Stamping Challenges.
Remember, stamping must be the focal point of your creation...and then just follow the theme and you are win with a chance of winning!

With Fashion comes a little attitude...
(as it should)
which you need to carry off the style.
And these girls from Darkroom Door sure have loads of style and attitude!

They are from the set,
'Just my Style'.
Goodness, to have their figures would be awesome!
(dream on Dot)

Each time I looked at these lovely ladies I thought that they looked so classy and stylish - so the background needed a richness and attitude to match.

Then came the girls...
when I went to add colour to them I was stuck!
In the end I decided to stay with white and I water-coloured a little DI black soot
(very watered down to create a soft grey)
- to take off the starkness.
And a little copic magic for the skin tones.

To finish off I simply added a touch of sparkle to each gal
(the necklace, the hat and buttons, and on the belt and bow)
and on some of the diamonds.

The girls at FSC have come up with some inspiring and very different versions on the theme this time.
Please pop on over and check out the awesomeness of the fashionettes,

'Bottles in a Row"

"Bottles in a Row'

I've seen so many beautiful cards around blogland that use bottle stamps lately,
but I didn't own any.
Then Shirley, from FSC, showed me some gorgeous bottle stamps by Inkadinkadoo via Skype...
(which was so handy because I got to see their actual size)

I saw what Shirley made with the same stamp and it looks absolutely nothing like mine!  I think I need to practice embracing 'pretty' some more...

This card uses a lot of my favourite techniques...and some new ones. like
 bleach blocking,
a little dylusions dripping (I think I am getting addicted to this),
stamping on text
and a little doodling.

It is just a muck around card that was heaps of fun to make
and I love it just the same.

Enjoy!
