Geo Flowers for Visible Image

Having fun with  my Visometry Set #1

I use to have a book that had repeated patterns in it…the idea being that you had to see what images popped out at you, then you colour it in.
This set was like that for me.
And what popped out were…flowers!
I’ve used the image for the flower heads, then cut some bits off an extra one that I made and turned them into leaves.
The flower stems were from the Thank You Set.  I really like how you can shape the stem into any angle that you like.
The background is a little crackle paste coloured with dylusions sprays…and a little splatter of paint.

Beautiful Blooms for FSC

Beautiful Blooms
is the new challenge this month at Fashionable Stamping Challenges.
There is beauty in simplicity.
With this in mind, I have done something a little different to my usual style this month.
A CAS creation!  I know, shock…horror! lol
The Flower INKognito stamp from Visible Image is a new stamp in my collection and I thought it would be a great one to use to showcase simplicity.
I like how the stamp has held the original ink for so many stampings.
The main image is done using Versafine Onyx Black.  Then followed with 3rd, 4th and 5th generation stamping.  The way that some of the ink has caught around the edge of the image (probably from me pressing down hard) is a nice, though unexpected, highlight.
The ghosting of the images, when using multiple generation stamping, is best when it is not ‘cluttered’ with a background – so no distress ink is used on this one.
The metal leaf is textured with black and quite gesso, as is the string.
It was really…really…really difficult for me not to add more splashes, or words, or colour, or go around the ghosted images with something.
In the end I am happy with the whole look of this CAS creation.
The girls at FSC have come up with some inspiring and very different versions on the same theme.
Please pop on over and check out the awesomeness of their creativity,
be inspired, and maybe join in our fun.
Flonzcraft are our sponsors this fortnight and have a generous $20 gift voucher up for grabs,

there are spotlights and a top 3 picked by the DT as well.
Stamping must be the focal point on your project!

I would like to enter this is the following challenges ~

Leave Your Fears Behind

Leave Your Fears
is another classically beautiful stamp set from Visible Image!
I have had my eyes on this set for awhile…
so when it arrived I was keen to ink it up.
Originally, I made this card in brown and orange tones, photographed it…
and as I was playing with my new camera
(waiting nearly two years for the chance to upgrade after I somehow smashed the lens on my other phone)
I stumbled across how the piece looked with the ‘negative’ effect.
It looked amazing!!! So I have re-done it in what I saw on my phone…
hence the white silhouette, blue tones and the dark ‘moon’.
The background is done with blue Distress Inks in an ombre style.
The “Leave Your Fears” set is white embossed with WOW embossing powder.
For the moon I have used the “Flower INKognito” set.
A few flicks of water, paint and ink was all that was needed as both of the stamp sets had enough dramatic effect to be the heroes on the page.
It sometimes surprises me where we get our inspiration from!
