Beautiful Blooms for FSC

Beautiful Blooms
is the new challenge this month at Fashionable Stamping Challenges.

There is beauty in simplicity.

With this in mind, I have done something a little different to my usual style this month.
A CAS creation!  I know, shock...horror! lol

The Flower INKognito stamp from Visible Image is a new stamp in my collection and I thought it would be a great one to use to showcase simplicity.
I like how the stamp has held the original ink for so many stampings.

The main image is done using Versafine Onyx Black.  Then followed with 3rd, 4th and 5th generation stamping.  The way that some of the ink has caught around the edge of the image (probably from me pressing down hard) is a nice, though unexpected, highlight.
The ghosting of the images, when using multiple generation stamping, is best when it is not 'cluttered' with a background - so no distress ink is used on this one.

The metal leaf is textured with black and quite gesso, as is the string.

It was really...really...really difficult for me not to add more splashes, or words, or colour, or go around the ghosted images with something.
In the end I am happy with the whole look of this CAS creation.

The girls at FSC have come up with some inspiring and very different versions on the same theme.
Please pop on over and check out the awesomeness of their creativity,
be inspired, and maybe join in our fun.
Flonzcraft are our sponsors this fortnight and have a generous $20 gift voucher up for grabs,

there are spotlights and a top 3 picked by the DT as well.

Stamping must be the focal point on your project!

Enjoy!

Hi Dot! A simple card but how effective! The second, third and fourth generation stamping have made that main image bounce straight offt of the card! Lovely, lots of love, Leanne x

It is a stunning and simplistic card Dot plus the different layers of generation stamping work so well to achieve this effect.

This is absolutely STUNNING! I love the simplicity of it and the black and white theme. That flower is gorgeous! Great idea to keep stamping off, it leaves such beautiful images behind! WOW!!! I struggle with CAS cards, this is such a beauty--I may have to CASE it! Thanks so much for playing along with us at The Mod Squad Challenge Donna, Challenge Host.

Hi Dot, Love the name and look of your new blog. This card is very different for you. Ordinarily, if I was asked which one is yours, I could usually pick it out but you would have caught me out with this one. I do like it's simplicity, although it's very well thought out and you've achieved a wonderful end result. The Visible Image stamps are fabulous and you always do them justice. Take care and enjoy your Sunday. Crafty hugs, Sandra :)x
