FSC Resist Technique

The Resist Technique
is the theme for this month at FSC.

I have done the unimaginable this month...
and got out my sewing machine!

Those that know me, know that I don't sew.
It surprised me that I remembered how to thread the thing up
because I can't remember how many years it has been since I last used it.
Usually I have to sit and read the instructions each time, so it kind of puts me off using it...but this time I actually did it!

And I discovered that the best part of sewing on cards is...
you can go crooked!!!
It adds to the rustic look with a little distressing going on :)
I am guessing that the machine will stay out for awhile and you will see some more "embellishments" of the crafty kind for a little while.

My favourite thing on this is the little leaves.
It is where I felt a little bit 'arty' with my Intense pencils
and coloured over the inking to give them some extra colour and a more autumnal look.

For my make I have used Distress Paint as my resist element.
The leaves were a silhouette which is ideal for this method.
The eye landing on a leaf was sheer luck...but I like how it looks.
The background is done using an acrylic block.
And highlights where added here and there with Inktense pencils.

The girls at FSC have come up with some inspiring and very different versions on the same theme.
Please pop on over and check out the awesomeness of their creativity,
be inspired, and maybe join in our fun.
Flonzcraft are our sponsors this fortnight and have a generous $20 gift voucher up for grabs,

there are spotlights and a top 3 picked by the DT as well.

Stamping must be the focal point on your project!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges ~

So sorry for being late Dot, I thought I had already left a comment on this post, must be my age lol! This is another stunner, you really are so inspiring and I wish that I had a fraction of your talent. I just love how you build us your inky layers and use masking to perfection. It's fabulous. Crafty hugs, Sandra
