Beach Huts

Beach Huts
Local artist, Kerri Humby, was offering an art class locally
that was about painting beach huts using acrylic paint on canvas.

Making cards is my thing, using stamps...
painting images, with paint and a paint-brush is way out of my comfort zone!
When using a paint brush you use it like a paint brush
- not a pencil
So hard!!! lol

Kerri has a very quirky style which really appealed to me...
and sooo very patient!
She needed to be.

This subject is close to my heart, with lots of fantastic memories at the main beach in town having a row of beach huts.
They have been gone for many years now, though some are still scattered around the country-side,
painted up in bright colours, looking like new.

This was soooo much fun!

Great job Dot, love this happy style of painting beach huts and the waters edge looks amazing. It's always such a fabulous feeling when you try something outside of your comfort zone and get such brilliant results, looking forward to seeing more xxx

Good job Dot! I love a paintbrush, it's all down to confidence and going with the flow - the more you do it, the more confident you'll feel with a paintbrush in your hand rather than a pen! Love it!
