Rubber Dance Challenge Reminder

Hello everyone,
wherever you are in the world, I hope the weather is being kind.
We are heading into Winter here soon and it’s time to start rugging up! I wish Autumn could last just a little longer.

Today I’ve made a card as inspiration for you for Rubber Dance.
The theme this month is either a colour challenge, or to use metal in your makes.

I’ve chosen to go with the colours, the combinations are always so beautiful when used together.

For this card I’ve been having a play with paints and using my brayer.
The stamps used are ‘Flying Ink Bottle’, ‘Whimsy Carved Wood’ and ‘Twiggy Leaves’ (a favourite of mine at the moment. Oh, and a little ‘Old Book Page’ in the background.

I’ve also used a Stamperia stencil to bring in the dark red colour.

This challenge at Rubber Dance goes for the whole of May. I hope that you can pop on over and take a look at some amazing inspiration from the team.

It’s fun to join in on the challenges and there is an awesome 12 Euro prize up for grabs at the end of the month.
You don’t need to use Rubber Dance stamps to join in.

 Thank you for looking,
Happy Stamping!

Floral at FSC

This month we have a beautiful floral theme for you!
You can show us either a single flower or a bouquet. The choice is up to you.
I hope you find time to join in the challenge.

For my inspiration I’ve made an Art Journal page.
My house is on the market at the moment so the words on this page are about practicing patience!

The stamps used are Entomology and Flower Garden from Stampers Anonymous.
The stencils, mini cell theory and harlequin, are from TWC and the paints are Dina Wakley.

The technique is one that I’ve developed by bouncing off another technique.  It is super fun and easy to do!
How is that for a teaser lol.
There will be more about it in future posts. I’m a little bit addicted to it at the moment so I’m sure you will see me use it a few times.

The girls at FSC have come up with some inspiring and very different takes on this theme. Please pop on over and check out their awesome creativity, be inspired and maybe join in the fun.

Ink Art Designs is our sponsor this month (that’s my Etsy shop) and has a gorgeous stamp set to give away to one lucky winner chosen by random org.

We also have a top 3 chosen by the design team and Saturday Spotlights where we showcase inspirational makes. And the icing on the cake is that each month we will be having a guest designer chosen from the entries.

Thank you for looking,
Happy Stamping!

Texture – Mixed Up Media May Challenge

Welcome to our first Make It Mixed Media Challenge!  Get messy with us and create mixed media marvels – you could even win a prize! The prize winner will be chosen at random, to give players of all experience levels an equal chance. The Design Team will also choose our favourite Project of the Month.

|The chance to win something for getting messy makes me smile!

This month’s theme is: TEXTURE
and runs until the end of May.
This challenge is open to anyone, anywhere in the world!

I’m very excited to show you my first piece as part of the Design Team at Mixed Up Media.

This is a canvas that I made using modeling paste, stencils and some drywall tape.

You can use stamps on tissue paper to add to any piece you make.  It moulds it’s way around any textured surface and is heaps of fun to do.  And if it crumples a bit, then that is even better.

Create a piece of work using the theme TEXTURE – your piece must be mixed media.

This challenge is open to everyone – newbies and international entries are very welcome.

Winners will be announced in the Mixed Up Mag Mixer Group (facebook) – so you might want to consider joining us there!  It’s a friendly place to be with loads of encouragement and inspiration.

Please pop on over to the Mixed Up Media blog to see the wonderful inspiration from the rest of the team.
There is so much you can do with texture!

Thank you so much for looking.

Happy Stamping!
