Beautiful Butterfly with Repeat Stamping

Hi everyone,
I’m over on the Rubber Dance blog today with a fun repeat stamping tutorial using just one word that has been repeated over and over again.

Repeat stamping is something that many of us do all the time without even thinking about it.
It is always handy to know the different ways that we can use this technique.

This is a one-layer card using masks and just one word to create a card that is fun to make.
I hope you take the time to pop over to the Rubber Dance blog and check out how this was made.

Happy Stamping

Rubber Dance June Challenge Reminder, Merry Magpie

Hi everyone,
It’s time for a little Rubber Dance inspiration and a reminder about the current challenge that is on for the month of June.

Stamping must be obvious on your project.
You do not have to use Rubber Dance stamps to participate.
Use our Colour Scheme or Theme – or a combiantion of both.

If you choose our colour scheme, ALL three colours (in any hues) must be the MAIN colours. You may use other colours too.

My inspiration uses the Merry Magpie stamp set

Alcohol inks on glossy cardstock and some simple stamping can make an impressive card. I’ve been experimenting with these inks lately and the effects that you can achieve are amazing.

Remember, if you use the code DLFreeShip at the checkout when buying from Rubber Dance you will receive free shipping on orders over 15 Euro.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend where ever you are.

Happy Stamping!

Seaside at FSC

It is time for a new challenge at
Fashionable Stamping Challenges.

This month we would love to see your makes based around the Seaside.

Living by the sea, this theme is one that means a lot to me.
So many things happen by the sea, but where I live, fishing for recreation or sport is a huge pass-time.

This card is made for a friends birthday who is turning 60 soon. Fishing is one of his great passions.
This fitted beautifully in a 5″ x 7″ frame.  So it is a card and gift in one.

Here are some more close-ups of the piece.

Can you see the fish that got away? lol

And another one … I’ve used alcohol inks on glossy card and this shows the beautiful bubbling effect that happened.

The girls at FSC have come up with some inspiring and very different takes on this theme. Please pop on over and check out their awesome creativity, be inspired and maybe join in the fun.

Ink Art Designs is our sponsor this month (that’s my Etsy shop) and has a gorgeous stamp set to give away to one lucky winner chosen by random org.

We also have a top 3 chosen by the design team and Saturday Spotlights where we showcase inspirational makes. And the icing on the cake is that each month we will be having a guest designer chosen from the entries.

Thank you for looking,
Happy Stamping!

Bold Colours – June Challenge at Mixed Up Mag

Bold Colours
is the theme for June on the Mixed Up Magazine blog!

For my piece this month I’ve used Distress Oxides, Distress inks and Archival ink to make this bright and bold card as inspiration for you.

I thought that the bold colour would be a great contrast to the vintage paper doll cut-out from Tim Holtz.
The background is full of stamping because that is what I love to do along with playing with different inks.

Distress inks and oxides work so well together.

This challenge is open to anyone, anywhere in the world!

HOW TO PLAY:
Create a piece of work using the theme BOLD COLOUR– your piece must be mixed media.

This challenge is open to everyone – newbies and international entries are very welcome.

Winners will be announced in the Mixed Up Mag Mixer Group (facebook) – so you might want to consider joining us there!  It’s a friendly place to be with loads of encouragement and inspiration.

Please pop on over to the Mixed Up Media blog to see the wonderful inspiration from the rest of the team.
There is so much you can do with texture!

Thank you so much for looking.

Happy Stamping!
