‘And the Weather is…Perfect!’

‘Weather Forecast’
Is the new challenge, this fortnight, at FSC.
And the weather is perfect!
A balmy Summer’s day at dusk, with the sun going down,
the night clouds gently rolling in,
no wind…no rain…
Peaceful…
Perfect!

We have a small, seaside town just 10 mins down the road which we
affectionately call ‘The Wong’ and each time I look at this card
it reminds me of it.

I have kept this card pretty simple using different stamps from all over the place.
Not even any masking…just ‘pot luck’ with random stamping.
Also it is one-layer.

And another card for my ‘male card’ collection – and that’s a bonus!

For the background I have again used Bister
as I am still enjoying these paints and what you can do with them.
I did experiment with some other backgrounds, but I liked this one the best.
And for those of you who might be wondering,
I have coloured the border using Bister and water mixed together on my craft sheet.
Our challenge this fortnight is to depict the weather somehow…
From rain or snow, to soaring heat…and anything in between.
The girls at FSC have come up with some inspiring and very different versions on the theme this time.
Please pop on over and check out the awesomeness of the fashionettes,
be inspired and maybe join in the fun.
Flonzcraft are our sponsors this fortnight and have a generous $20 gift voucher up for grabs,
there are spotlights and a top 3 as well.

Remember, stamping must be the focal point of your creation…and then just follow the theme and you are win with a chance of winning!

Enjoy!

‘Anything Goes at FSC’

It is Anything Goes
this time around at FSC!!!

Is anyone else taking part in Kate Crane’s
Journal Soup 2 online class?
I have always struggled with journaling, but I looove seeing what everyone else makes.
Kate has a way of making it sound so ‘do-able’.
So this time I’ve decided to dive right in and put my own spin on it.
And, Woohoo…this is what I have made.

I must admit that I feel a little clever journal souping and making these owls.
And I will definitely be making more!!!

I made one just for the hell of it…then, after a few hours, I thought that I would make another one a little smaller.
Then the next morning I thought – everything needs it be in threes
so I made another one.

The owls are made the ‘Journal Soup’ way.

The background has been made with Bister and DI, and there is heaps of stamping and doodling in the background…oh, and a little bleach too.

The thing with doodling is that it is hard to know when to stop!
That is the fun of the whole thing…

‘The Dark Side’

The Dark Side
Today I’m sharing a card that I made this morning.
We don’t really have Halloween here in Australia,
but I couldn’t help but be inspired by some of the beautiful cards in blogland at the moment so I thought that I would join in.
I have made a quick background using black bister and added some light blue DI over the top to lighten it a little.
The images are just masked and a little bleach added for
that ghostly appearance of the skulls.
Enjoy?
I would like to enter this into the following challenges…
