Lots going on!

Lots Going On!
With a new year, there also comes new opportunities.
For me, I’ve joined a couple of new design teams.
That should keep my mind alert!
Rubber Dance have invited me to be part of their
Creative Design Team.
This begins in February…very nervous!
I’m also joining the Craft Stamper magazine design team!
In 2014 I was on their on-line design team, so it is a dream come true
to be part of the magazine too.
so exciting!!!!!!
Very nervous!
Visible Image has been one of my greatest supports,
so it is terrific to still be part of their team…
they have just launched their new range of stamps and
they look AMAZING!
I can’t wait to play with them!!!

I am so happy to be still with Fashionable Stamping Challenges…
who I’ve been with since the very beginning and
look forward to meeting Shirley and Andrew Chillman
this year!

The Stencil Specialist, here in Australia, have a monthly blog hop
which I am so happy to be part of as well.

About a year ago I began my own paper craft business,
here in Australia.
It’s called Ink Art Designs. (as in my blog name)

What that means for Australians is that I can now offer
Visible Image, Rubber Dance and Stampendous stamps
here!
Details are on my side-bar.
It’s going to be an exciting year!!!
Very nervous lol

The Tweedles

Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee
have caught my eye at Visible Image this fortnight.
The stamp set has one tweedle on it, but if you white out the pupils of the eyes and redraw them with black fine liner, then you have them both!
Finally I overcame my ‘fear’ of using the gelli plate and had heaps of fun creating some backgrounds.  The background behind the background was an off-cut of one of these.
I don’t know what I was so afraid of!
The tweedles were easy to colour in and easy to cut out!
Love that!

For me, I have been adding to my stock and now have quite a good range of Visible Image stamps for sale in Australia….so, exciting times ahead. The link to the Visible Image shop is on my sidebar, along with my e-mail addy for any enquiries.

Winter or Spring at FSC

“Nature’s magic”
is what I am calling this card…it has that air of mystery and wonder when I look at it. Almost magical.
But firstly, I want to say how excited I am about a couple of visitors heading my way all the way from Ireland in a few months time.
It’s my boss!!!
Yes, Andrew and Shirley Chillman are coming to visit.
I’m trying to come up with an aussie nick-name for Shirley, but all I’ve got so far is ‘Chiller’ lol.
I’ll keep working on that one!
Back to this card though…
It is the middle of Winter in the Northern Hemisphere,
and everyone is starting to look forward to seeing the early signs of Spring.
This card has the bare trees, the early appearance of butterflies…
yes, Spring will come eventually.
Over here we still have to get through the heat of Summer before some cooler nights start to kick in.
The most challenging part of this card is where to place the butterfly!
When you stamp onto a piece of acetate you can move it around and see where the best place to put a stamp is.
The background is one of my all-time favourites –
which Wendy Vecchi came up with at CHA in 2014.
You can see the whole demo here.
The girls at FSC have come up with some inspiring and very different versions on the same theme.
Please pop on over and check out the awesomeness of their creativity,
be inspired, and maybe join in our fun.
Flonzcraft are our sponsors this fortnight and have a generous $20 gift voucher up for grabs,
there are spotlights and a top 3 picked by the DT as well.

Stamping must be the focal point on your project!
Just a reminder that I am a stockist of Visible Image and Stampendous stamps in Australia.
…so, exciting times ahead.  The link to both the Visible Image and Stampendous shops are on my sidebar, along with my e-mail addy for any enquiries.

I’ld like to enter this into the Craft Stamper Challenge Blog too…Anything Goes (with a stamp)

Enjoy!

Heralding in the New Year

Herald In The New Year
This jazz player from the “Jazz it Up” set seemed like the perfect way to kick off the new year.
I hope everyone had a fantastic night for the New Year’s celebrations, partied hard and stayed safe.
For me…it was down at the beach, slouching back in a camper chair and letting the fireworks fall down right over the top of me. Catching up with old friends, meeting new ones and having a couple of quiet drinks…it was another great night of seeing out the old and heralding in the new year.
This is the beginning of my 2nd year with Visible Image and I can’t wait to see what exciting things Mark and Helen have in store for us all.
Mark and Helen have also settled into their new HQ and are raring to go.
The background for this one is quite simple, using alcohol inks.
The brightness of the colours make the silhouette of the jazz player stand out.  This Jazz It Up set has been a favourite of mine since the very beginning…so versatile and full of fun!
I love the new additions to this set and what has been introduced across the whole range at Visible Image.  The new stars from the Feel The Beat set were a perfect finish for this card.
For me, I have been adding to my stock and now have quite a good range of Visible Image stamps for sale in Australia….so, exciting times ahead. The link to the Visible Image shop is on my sidebar, along with my e-mail addy for any enquiries.
