Make It Feminine – FSC

Make It Feminine

With this month’s challenge at FSC we are all embracing our femininity.

We invite you to make something feminine for this challenge using stamps as your focal image.

Of course you can use whatever you like to help make your project, but stamping is important and should of course be the main focus of your piece.  We are after all a stamping challenge  😉

Shirley and I went to a card camp/retreat across the border, in the middle of nowhere, when she was out and this is one of the pieces that I made there.

This camp is always so much fun – lazy really (for me anyway).  And sooo relaxing.  It’s a long drive to get there, but the scenery is magnificent this time of year, going through kilometer after kilometer of vineyards where the leaves where just starting to turn to their autumnal colours on the vines. Beautiful!  It would’ve been nice to stop and sample some of the wineries … but we needed to get back through the pine forest, closer to home, before the kanga’s came out.

It was awesome to have Shirley along and watch her enjoying the whole experience.  Even embracing the bunk beds that we retired to each night.  You were awesome Shirley!!!

The main image is an old one from Kaszazz and the words are from Visible Image. The background stamps are from 49 Market – and for the life of me I can’t find the set!  Don’t you hate that? lol.

The girls at FSC have come up with some inspiring and very different takes on this theme. Please pop on over and check out their awesome creativity, be inspired and maybe join in the fun.

Ink Art Designs is our sponsor this month and has a gorgeous stamp set to give away to one lucky winner chosen by random org. We also have a top 3 chosen by the design team and Saturday Spotlights where we showcase inspirational makes. And the icing on the cake is that each month we will be having a guest designer chosen from the entries.

I hope that you join in the fun!

Just a note to let you know that I have changed my blog from blogger to wordpress.  I’m really happy with the change but this means that there are no longer any ‘followers’ list. If you like what I do and would like to follow – I have a ‘subscribers’ option on the right side-bar.
Thank you to everyone who has followed me over the years and I hope that you subscribe for future posts.

Oh my I can remember you doing this background piece and I admired it so much. The finished card is just so inspiring and beautiful just perfect for the theme at FSC.

Wow I can remember the long drive but also that we talked non stop along the way so that it seemed to take no time at all. In fact I was so amazed when we got there that I didn’t see the time going.

The experience of the retreat, the fabulous ladies and of course, it goes without saying, the bunk beds are something I would not have missed for the world. Want to do it all again some day.

Thanks Dot for everything you are as I say one very special lady.

Great work Dot, I love that background, really grungy and then the delicate stamp of the girl – jumps right out of that background. The touch of pink really does do it! Great make, well done! xxxx

Just catching up after hols and I wondered why I couldn’t find your FSC post – I’ve subscribed to the notification list, so should be OK now.
This is a fabulous card, love the grungy background with the feminine image and the touches of pink. Love the quote too.
