Dreaming Big at Visible Image

Today is my last post on behalf of Visible Image because, as of the end of this month, I officially step-down from Team Awesome.

It’s been nearly two years and during this time I’ve ‘met’ and been friends with some really great crafters who are amazingly talented people.  I’ve learnt something along the way from each person in one way or another.

Thank you Helen and Mark for the most incredible journey, the wonderful opportunities, great support of me and for being friends.

This card uses one of the new word stamps from Visible Image called ‘Dream Big’.  This has been paired up with the eye from ‘Where Dreams Take You’.  I didn’t think of it at the time, but it kind of sums up Visible Image don’t you think?

Having a Whale of a Time.

Hello everyone,

I’m stopping by today to let you know that I am on the Rubber Dance blog today with a tutorial using the Whale Wishes stamps and distress oxides.

It is such a special time of year here in our area with the Bonny Upwelling Festivial coming up.  We celebrate nature’s phenomenon of when the krill swarm densely, up to a kilometer long. This rich food source feeds the whales, seals, giant grabs, squid and fish.  And best of all the sea turns the most beautiful bright blue colour.

Please pop on over to Rubber Dance to see how this card has come together.

The animal challenge is still until the end of this month at Rubber Dance.

If you use the code DLFreeShip at the checkout for any of your purchases over 15 Euro at Rubber Dance – you will have free shipping on your orders (to anywhere in the world).

See you again soon,

Wild ATC’s

Theme Challenge At Rubber Dance

is now underway … and this time it is ANIMALS.  I hope that you have some time to come over and play.

I’ve decided to go wild and have used some animals from the ‘African Animals’ stamp set to make a group of 3 ATC’s.

There are 4 different wild animals in the set to use, with clever words that relate to each animal.

The animals have all been coloured with water-colour pencils and fussy cut.  The Merry Magpie set has been a favourite of mine, and I’ve used the extra bits for some stamping on these ATC’s.  The Textured Flowers set has a couple of leaves which look a little African, so they’ve been used also.

Please pop over to the Rubber Dance blog to see some more great inspiration and a great variety of animal projects used for this challenge.

A reminder that Rubber Dance will ship stamps for FREE, anywhere in the world on orders over 15 Euro!

Just enter my code: DLFreeShip at the checkout.
or, if you are in Australia, please check out my Etsy shop.
You will find a whole lot of inspiration over at the Rubber Dance blog…with loads of creative ideas for you to try and to get your creative juices flowing. Please join in the fun and be in the running for some awesome Rubber Dance stamps.
Have fun stamping!!!

Snow Is Falling

I love playing with new stamps – and the new releases from Visible Image are brilliant!

I’ve used both the ‘Snow is Falling’ and ‘Peace Love Hope’ stamp sets for this card.

We don’t have snow in my part of the world, and I know it is white, but for some reason blues are the colours come to mind.  This card is made with a mixture of blues and iced spruce oxides.

The Peace Love and Hope set has so many interesting elements in it that mix and match with almost anything.  For this card I’ve used the bauble and stamped a reindeer from the set as a center piece.  All the little extra bits fit beautifully inside the bauble.  Clever thinking Visible Image!

Stamps used are:

Peace Love and Hope

Charlie – FSC

Charlie

has been one of my favourite stamps for years, though I  rarely use him.  You know what it’s like … you just have to have that stamp! For no reason, except you love it lol.

But this month he was just who I was looking for for the new challenge at FSC.  The theme this month is

Time Waits For No Man

This is a male themed challenge that can have men, clocks or time-pieces, anything that has to do with time.

I’ve been inspired this month by our fearless leader, Shirley.  She spoke recently about having a journal book that she uses for just stamping.  No technique-y things, just stamping…

So this card has no technique-y things!  It’s all stamping … okay, a little lid stamping using acrylic paint, but that doesn’t really count does it?

Charlie himself is from Stampsmith.  The background stamping, stars and words are all from Visible Image.

The girls at FSC have come up with some inspiring and very different takes on this theme. Please pop on over and check out their awesome creativity, be inspired and maybe join in the fun.

Ink Art Designs is our sponsor this month and has a gorgeous stamp set to give away to one lucky winner chosen by random org. We also have a top 3 chosen by the design team and Saturday Spotlights where we showcase inspirational makes. And the icing on the cake is that each month we will be having a guest designer chosen from the entries.
