Rule Of Three

Rule Of Three is the new challenge at Rubber Dance this fortnight.

I was recently at a craft retreat and decided to have a play with acrylic paint, gesso and ink and came up with this background.  Because it was in neutral colours I decided to keep the flowers white.

This was one of those pieces that was a play with building up a background … with no idea of where it was heading.

The string was added last as an after thought – but I think that it adds to the neutral feel of the card. For a splash of colour I’ve added a little yellow.

Stamps used are: Textured Flowers and Old Book Page.

Just a note to let you know that I have changed my blog from blogger to wordpress. ¬†I’m really happy with the change but this means that there are no longer any ‘followers’ list. If you like what I do and would like to follow – I have a ‘subscribers’ option on the right side-bar.
Thank you to everyone who has followed me over the years and I hope that you subscribe for future posts.

I would like to enter this into the Craft Stamper May Challenge – Anything Goes

Go Where Your Muse Takes You.

May Colour Challenge
uses the colours – red, orange and rose.
For my inspiration I’ve had a play with the butterflies from the
Antique Botanicals set and teamed it up with
words from Artfully Stamped.
The fancifulness of butterflies goes so well with these words.
I’ve also added some background stamping with stamps from the
Textured Flowers set.
It is really surprising just how versatile these stamps are!
