April Sale – Rubber Dance Stamps

This month I’ve a sale on all Rubber Dance stamps at my Etsy shop:

15% off ALL Rubber Dance stamps.

This sale is for all of April
and there is a huge range of Rubber Dance stamps to pick from.

I’ve also decided to introduce a shop wide discount of 10% on large orders.
How this works is that when you spend $150, or more, at the shop you will receive a 10% discount on your order.
This bonus is added to any specials that I have on for that month will give you huge savings.

A reminder that I have a newsletter that goes out whenever new stock arrives and when I have specials on offer.
You are able to sign up for the newsletter from the RH side-bar.

I value my customers and want to encourage the use of stamps as much as possible.
Stamping is what I love to do myself and sharing that passion is important to me.

My stamps are chosen for their quality and style.

Happy Stamping!

Spring Has Sprung at FSC

It’s Spring now in the North, though it’s probably still a little icy in some parts.  I hope that the winter ice melts quickly and the colours and warmer days of Spring come soon.

Down here, when Spring comes, one of the first things that I notice is that birds are everywhere, gathering twigs to make their nests.  Then it isn’t long until you hear the chirping of the baby birds. It’s a busy time bursting with life.

With this in mind, I’ve made a card this time around with birds on it.

The main image is from Crafty Individuals with the eggs, flying birds, feather and bird word from Rubber Dance.

A Timmy bird on a branch is also used.

When I started this one I was focusing on birds, but after it was finished I could see that there is also a touch of Easter.

The girls at FSC have come up with some inspiring and very different takes on this theme. Please pop on over and check out their awesome creativity, be inspired and maybe join in the fun.

Ink Art Designs is our sponsor this month and has a gorgeous stamp set to give away to one lucky winner chosen by random org.

We also have a top 3 chosen by the design team and Saturday Spotlights where we showcase inspirational makes. And the icing on the cake is that each month we will be having a guest designer chosen from the entries.

Thank you for looking,

I’ve used shiny card as the base for my card this time.  I think that when you use shiny card the colours from the Brushos are more intense.

I sprinkled a little brushos into the corners of the card and spritzed with a little water. I did this from a height and aimed it towards the outside of the card so that it didn’t ‘fly’ everywhere.

Leaves were stamped with StayZon ink as it was onto shiny cardstock.

The leaves were then painted with some brushos.  Simply spray a little water onto your craft sheet and sprinkle in the Brusho crystals. It is really easy to paint on.

The sunrays were an after thought, but I was really happy with how it turned out. I made a mix of Brushos and water on my craft sheet and using a sponge I dabbed the Brushos through a stencil.
You don’t need much, the less the better. Just dab the excess moisture on your craft sheet so that the sponge isn’t too wet.

Butterfly Girl #2 has been a favourite stamp of mine for a while. She was stamped onto watercolour card to start with.  I sprinkled a really tiny amount of Brushos onto her wings, near her body and lightly sprayed with water. I let it dry naturally as I think the colours are stronger this way. The legs were coloured also with Brushos that had been watered down.

I discovered that the watered down Gamboge colour makes a wonderful skin tone.

Then I simply cut her out and attached to the card.

As a frame I’ve used a black fine liner and a ruler to draw a dotted line on and stamped some words to finish off.

Now it’s your turn to join in the hop!
