Hello, Hello, Hello

Hello, Hello, Hello

Stamp designer, Susanne Rose, has designed some unique and fun stamps which are available through Rubber Dance.
After purchasing a couple of sets that really caught my eye, it was time to play…
The background is painty and the giraffe is water coloured.
There were some fun background stamps in one of the sets, perfect for a little background interest.
A parcel arrived from Shirley recently which included a gorgeous card made with some Stampotique characters. It was started during one of our Skyping sessions. So my card was inspired by her card which you can see here.
There are plenty of other stamps in the sets made by Susanne…
so more playing coming soon.
Enjoy!

Just Playing!

Just Playing!
There is nothing quite like a cold and wet day to get you crafting!
This stamp is one from Trish Latimer’s new range…and I am having heaps of fun just playing around with it.
The background uses pink and orange Distress Paint on a craft sheet.
A little tone-on-tone stenciling and stamping brings the background to life.
The words are from Finnabair’s Don’t Forget To Fly stamp set.
The main image is coloured with copic markers…I’m not crash hot with copic’s, but I wanted to give her a solid colour. I was happy with the final look after adding a little water colour pencil to her hair and edging with distress ink.
I would love to enter this in the following challenges ~

A LIttle Scrappin’

Having a go at Scrappin’ again!

I am continuing my scrapping journey, ever so slowly…

This time I have gone over the border and enjoyed another session with Fiona Paltridge.
As soon as she said she was doing a grunge page I just couldn’t resist!
I don’t know about you, but there is just something so relaxing and enjoyable about going to someone else’s workshop…you can just get messy and enjoy it!
Anyway, here is what I made.
I did take it home and add a little of something that I learnt from the Andy Skinner’s Book of Ruinations on-line class…and the whole page just ‘popped’ .

This picture of me was taken when I was about 1 year old in my nana’s front garden.
My nana had the best garden for kids to play in. It was so overgrown with lots of hiding places, things to explore and flowers to pick…and we picked heaps of them all the time.
The Indigoblu butterflies on this page where sprayed with lots of different sprays out on Fiona’s front lawn…which turned blue after everyone had finished (so funny).
Enjoy!

“Getting Inky…Again”

Getting Inky…again!

I have been having so much fun with inky backgrounds lately!
This is a quick card that I made for a girlfriend’s birthday.

It is a long weekend here and I am enjoying just having a play…I should be doing the commitment stuff, oh well…tomorrow!
Sometimes, you just have to play.

A few of my favourite things are part of putting this card together…
a good smidge of distress ink, a little dylusional stuff,
some butterflies and a little bleach.
A bit of blending here…
and little splatter there…
and voila!

One Stamp, Three Ways

One Stamp, Three Ways!
I am on holidays at the moment…and sat down for a little play with ink yesterday.

A week ago I was lucky enough to be a winner in a blog-hop with Stampendous and won some gorgeous goodies…
a stamp,
a stencil
and a sanding block!

Yesterday I wanted to have a play with my new stuff,
so I set myself a challenge while I was at it.
My challenge to myself was:
~ to use the stamp 3 ways
~ use green and yellow (as I don’t use them very often)
~ and use circles (a common thread to tie the cards together)

Card 1

I used Bister background.

Card 2

With an Inky background.
I used Distress Inks for the background.

Card 3

And with lots of white space and a little doodling.
I used Dylusions for the colouring.

All very simple cards and all one layer.
Quick and easy, and heaps of fun!!!

Enjoy!

I would love to enter this set into ~
