Pink Your Life…with Pixies

Whisper Wall
is a gorgeous stamp designed by Nicoletta Zanelli
for Stampendous…and is part of the Pink Your Life series.

Anyone is welcome to leave a comment (I love reading your comments), but if you are from Australia then please type the name of your town in the comment that you leave
and you will be in the draw for an awesome Pink Your Life stamp.

Here is how it works…
all you need to do is leave a comment on this blog and leave the Aussie town that you live in (click on the ‘comment’ link at the bottom of this post and leave a comment) to be in the draw to win this stamp…
An extra entry is given for each of the designer’s blogs that you leave a comment on (listed below).
My blog = 1 entry
4 blogs = 4 entries.

For this challenge I’ve decorated my art brushes container!
Up until now it was an empty Chai container…

Here is a picture of the container before I changed it, and after.
It looks so much better in my workspace!

Below is a picture of the mixed media background that was so much fun to create.

The pixies were masked and stamped in a long row to so that they would fit around the tin.

Now it was time to put them all together!
These pics show the tin from different sides.

  1. How boring is the before Dot (I would say that because I hate tea, definitely not your typical brit). The after is more my cup of tea, love it with all those paint brushes inside.

Those little pixies look so mischievous but oh so cute at the same time, fabulous colouring you have really brought them to life.

Great to see a project on your blog.

Warm crafty hugs from Shirl x x x

How cute is that!!! Love it!!! Hugs.

  6. LOVE what you have done with this old tine, makes me remember the old Malt tins. Looks like a good old Aussie Gum tree feeling to me, and also brings back some memories of our camping days when I was young…
    Very different to the norm.

Thats such a clever idea Dot! The pixies really stand guard around the chai container, they look like they are having too much fun with your art supplies πŸ™‚

  8. I'm loving the textured look of the mixed media background and the forest colours as well. The pixies stand out yet blend well with the background.

Hi Dot. I love how you have thought out-of-the-box (or container, as it may be) and created an adorable holder for your brushes. Very clever and I so agree … the container looks much better. Great job. πŸ™‚ Donna from San Diego, CA
