Fossilized Fish for Rubber Dance

Hi everyone!
Today I have a card to share with you that you can find over on the Rubber Dance blog as a tutorial.
It uses alcohol inks in a different and fun way.

It uses Black alcohol ink – and it’s not as scary as it might sound.
The main stamp set is one of the new releases from Rubber Dance
called ‘Fish Diet‘.
And the words are from ‘Adore Me’.

Happy Stamping!

Rubber Dance June Challenge Reminder, Merry Magpie

Hi everyone,
It’s time for a little Rubber Dance inspiration and a reminder about the current challenge that is on for the month of June.

Stamping must be obvious on your project.
You do not have to use Rubber Dance stamps to participate.
Use our Colour Scheme or Theme – or a combiantion of both.

If you choose our colour scheme, ALL three colours (in any hues) must be the MAIN colours. You may use other colours too.

My inspiration uses the Merry Magpie stamp set

Alcohol inks on glossy cardstock and some simple stamping can make an impressive card. I’ve been experimenting with these inks lately and the effects that you can achieve are amazing.

Remember, if you use the code DLFreeShip at the checkout when buying from Rubber Dance you will receive free shipping on orders over 15 Euro.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend where ever you are.

Happy Stamping!

Seaside at FSC

It is time for a new challenge at
Fashionable Stamping Challenges.

This month we would love to see your makes based around the Seaside.

Living by the sea, this theme is one that means a lot to me.
So many things happen by the sea, but where I live, fishing for recreation or sport is a huge pass-time.

This card is made for a friends birthday who is turning 60 soon. Fishing is one of his great passions.
This fitted beautifully in a 5″ x 7″ frame.  So it is a card and gift in one.

Here are some more close-ups of the piece.

Can you see the fish that got away? lol

And another one … I’ve used alcohol inks on glossy card and this shows the beautiful bubbling effect that happened.

The girls at FSC have come up with some inspiring and very different takes on this theme. Please pop on over and check out their awesome creativity, be inspired and maybe join in the fun.

Ink Art Designs is our sponsor this month (that’s my Etsy shop) and has a gorgeous stamp set to give away to one lucky winner chosen by random org.

We also have a top 3 chosen by the design team and Saturday Spotlights where we showcase inspirational makes. And the icing on the cake is that each month we will be having a guest designer chosen from the entries.

Thank you for looking,
Happy Stamping!

Love You Longer

Love You Longer

is a great sentiment stamp from Visible Image that can be used for so many things.

I’ve combined it with the feather from Learn To Fly Again for this card.

The background is made using alcohol inks and the sentiment is masked off and stamped in two parts.

I’ve made a quick 5 minute tutorial on the technique for creating this background

which can be found here on Youtube.

To see the huge range of Visible Image stamps and to see more information on them, please pop on over to the Visible Image Shop.
Also at my Etsy shop – the link is on my side-bar.

It’s Just A Number

It’s Just A Number
at FSC this month.
That can be anything to do with clocks, special age, birthdays, anniversary, random numbers whatever you like really with numbers.
I’ve made a door!
Now…you might think that is an awfully looong street with this number on the door? Probably the longest street in the world!
After making the door I couldn’t think what number to put on it…
so I’ve used my birthday numbers lol
A little while ago I received a lovely surprise package from Shirley with door stamps in it (thanks so much Shirley). This was the perfect opportunity to use them.
The background was some scrap card from some experimenting with alcohol inks.  It had a gorgeous streaky effect. A wood grain stamp over the top of it gave it some character ~ and then the stamps did the rest.
I think it looks kind of real.
The girls at FSC have come up with some inspiring and very different versions on the same theme.
Please pop on over and check out the awesomeness of their creativity,
be inspired, and maybe join in our fun.
Flonzcraft are our sponsors this fortnight and have a generous $20 gift voucher up for grabs,
there are spotlights and a top 3 picked by the DT as well.

Stamping must be the focal point on your project!

Just a reminder that I am a stockist of Visible Image, Rubber Dance and Stampendous stamps in Australia.
…so, exciting times ahead. Details are on my sidebar, along with my e-mail addy for any enquiries.
