Simplicity Sunday at Rubber Dance

It is Simplicity Sunday over on the Rubber Dance blog.
Today it’s my turn for a little inspiration.

The circle part has been done with a gelli plate, with a little paint stamping.
I shouted myself some DecoArt paints recently and couldn’t wait to play with them.
My favourite Butterfly Girl from Rubber Dance is the highlight of the card
which has been coloured with Nuvo water colour pencils.

I hope you enjoy this simple card and pop on over to the Rubber Dance
blog. You will find heaps of awesome inspiration there.

Happy Stamping!

With Sympathy…

is a stamp from Stampendous! which is just perfect for a Sympathy card.
I made this card for a dear friend who lost her father recently…
I’m blogging it because it is my first tentative steps at using my new Gelli plate.
The background is made by simply rolling some shades of archival ink onto the plate with a brayer, stamping onto it (which lifts the ink off), and stamping with fresh ink (which adds ink on).
It is water coloured with abandoned coral on a craft sheet with a little water.
Then edged with a white gel pen.
Oh, and some splatters of the stronger abandoned coral and a little white acrylic paint…and edged with abandoned coral.

A simple card,
but then that is all you need for a Sympathy card after all…
