Embossing Powder Resist
is the challenge at the Craft Stamper Take It, Make It Challenge blog this month.
All you need to do is heat emboss an image/design onto the project, then colour over the top with inks/watercolour paints.
The embossing powder will resist the inks etc, and show through.
This could be for the focal point to your project, or be part of the background.
Real stamping needs to be included as well (in case you doodled with an embossing pen for your resist rather than stamped).

My idea this time around was to instead of having the white of the card showing through, that I would have some bright colours showing.

What people may not realise is that I always start my cards with just white cardstock.
A total blank canvas, so to speak, each time.

On this one I have coloured up the background with a variety of bright colours then clear embossed this Indigo Blue ‘Juliet’ stamp.
I did this 3 times because I kept stuffing it up…don’t ask…lol

I  have used WOW embossing powder and -wow- what a difference!
Because it is a super fine powder the detail of the stamp shows up much better.
And you can win some if you are the winner of this challenge!!!

Next came the fun part!
I just swiped black ink straight across the whole image.
I used the edge of the ink pad to extend the black out the back and then added a flourish stamp to give the impression of hair flowing.

To finish I just added some extra flowers and butterflies and then layered the main panel on some extra bright panel that I had inked up.
And that is it!

There are some great ideas in the August issue of the magazine and

on the Craft Stamper Blog – with awesome prizes to be won!

PLUS:  The Design Team will have a look at all your gorgeous work and choose their top 3…and the overall winner will get published in Craft Stamper magazine!
AND: the Challenge winner will be offered a Guest Designer spot for an upcoming challenge!
Oh, and don’t forget to link your work back to the Craft Stamper.

Enjoy!

I would like to enter this in the following challenges ~
