Cold and Frosty Colours
is the theme this month at Vintage Stamping Challenges
This challenge runs until the new year so it is up to you whether
you make a Christmas card
or just take a little break from the festive season and play with the colours.
It can be relaxing to just do something totally different after the big day…
However, I’ve gone with a xmas card as I am soooo far behind with these
and added heaps and heaps of sparkle.
A one layer card.
A one layer card.
This ripped technique I first saw done by our DT sister Brenda here
and it has quickly become a favourite of mine.
I have used the cold colours of Distress Inks,
used a snowflake stencil,
the glitter technique is from TH (Day 5 of CC102)…I love the sparkle that it adds.
~ then I’ve finished off with dripping some Fresco Finish paint and addiing a little
rock candy glitter while it was still wet.
The main stamp is from Flonz
and is found here.
My discovery while playing this time is that
when you stamp onto shiny paper with Brilliance black ink
and then over stamp with the same image ~ no masking is necessary as the ink moves aside
and makes it look like you have done the masking anyway!
I hope you take the time to pop over to Vintage Stamping Challenges
and check out the amazing talent and ideas from the team.
Flonzcraft is offering a generous $20 gift voucher to the winner,
he offers an occassional spot prize
and there is always a top 3!
Enjoy

The reindeer's look as if they are dancing on their tipy toes Dot so that they don't touch the snow. Making them the focal point really draws everything together. Beautiful DT piece as usual, love it sweets.
