Wednesday Inspiration
for Visible Image.

It’s been an exciting time waiting for my first make as part of the Visible Image DT.  It is great to get the first one done!

There is so much buzz among the team at the moment because there are heaps of new stamps to be released next month – and they look amazing!!!
Sneak peaks are appearing on the facebook group, there is a launch on C&C TV (in Feb) and at the UK Trade Show (also in Feb)…so lots to watch out for!

Today I wanted to do something with a little pazzazz – so I decided on a blast of music!
These stamps were so much fun to play with!
There are more music themed ones in the collection, but I love music festivals and live bands so wanted to make a kind of raw, back to basics jazz/blues card.
I cut out a circle die and placed it in the center of the card, then inked up the background with some bright distress inks.
The white bubbles are made through a stencil with acrylic paint.
Then I thought I would flick some red Brusho (mixed with water) onto the card for some extra colour – and it splattered onto the white section…so I added some carefully placed red circles (through a stencil) to cover it up…
remember…
there is no such thing as a mistake – just a new opportunity!
I stamped the silhouettes, added some partial stamping of the music notes, and from the flourish stamp (around the edge),
and the words to finish off.

When I made this card we all heard of the passing of David Bowie, so when I look at this card I think of the song “Dancing In The Street”…if you wanted to have a go at making this, you could quite easily journal the words to that song around the edge and I think it would look awesome.

The stamps used were:

Grunge Flourish

  Play It Loud

Soul Music

Jazz It Up

There’s inspiration almost every day on the Visible Image blog as well as sharing of ideas and inspiration over on the facebook page.

Enjoy!
