is the theme at The Craft Stamper Take It, Make It challenge blog this time around!
I had in mind to use this arch from The Artistic Stamper…then came the idea of making the background look like it was part of a building using the bleach blocking idea.
I have kept the same colours this time around as what I used last time. And I have used the bleaching as you would if you were doing stenciling ~ that is, bleaching out the ink, then overlaying with the colours of the ink that was used in the first place…
in this case, aged mahogany and rusty hinge DI’s.
Oh, and the light area inside the arch is bleach blocked – 3 times on top of each other – to give a light area on the inside.
The angel just seemed right for the arch
and for the feeling of the card.
It’s a stamp that I’ve only ever used once before…and it fitted beautifully!
The black lines were added as an afterthought (using a credit card)…you know how it is, “I’ll just add this” lol ~ then you sometimes have to resist going on.
Then I thought…maybe I’ll photograph it, then change it later lol
PLUS: The Design Team will have a look at all your gorgeous work and choose their top 3…and the overall winner will get published in Craft Stamper magazine!
AND: the Challenge winner will be offered a Guest Designer spot for an upcoming challenge!
Enjoy!

amazing Dot – really beautiful xx
Just beautiful, Dot – I love how you've used the bleach blocking to echo the brickwork. The colours are stunning, and those last minute black lines really work fantastically to draw the eye in to that magnificent winged woman in her arch. Love this!
