It is Shades of Autumn this fortnight at FSC!
A colour challenge.
You can create autumnal scenes, halloween, any thing you like really as long as the colours are those of autumn.
FSC has a great showcase of takes on this theme
and Marina from Cottage Crafts is giving an on-line voucher to the
DT’s choice.

I have to say that autumn is my favourite time of year.
The air is crisp, the skies are blue and the heat has gone. In this card I have had a go at layering an autumn scene.
The main leaf stamps are from Darkroom Door (Leaves). These stamps were great to work with and the detail is phenomenal.
The bare branches are from Kaszazz.

The main technique this time around is with alcoholic inks for the leaves and for the background. I love the shine that shows through using this medium. The crispness of the leaves looks so real.
The birds and bare branches layer, and sky layer, are coloured with distress inks.
I think that the DI’s soften the intensity of the alcohol inks
and give a whole new dimension to the scene.

The words say Colours of Autumn and are computer generated.

And rhinestones and ribbon finish it off.

A HUGE thankyou to all my followers who have stuck with me…I have reached the 100 mark and I am so humbled and thankful to you ALL.
You wouldn’t believe it but my 100th is a local from my home town!
With blogging the world is a smaller place and everyone feels like they are only just up the road. So when someone who is actually just up the road joins in the journey it really is quite something else…

Thanks everyone!
