Halloween at FSC!
It isn’t a tradition that we follow here in Australia.
But what the hell…I’ve given it a shot anyway!
Literally the day I finished making it one of the teachers at work joked with me
about me giving her a card with bones and witches on it for her 50th…
so I hid it on her bookshelf for her to find! Would you believe it took 4 days for her to discover it!!!
Just goes to show teachers use computers more than books on their bookshelves these days lol
There are a couple of “firsts” with this card.
My first successful attempt
at doing the marbled stains technique from TH.
For some reason…I have just struggled with this one.
I am so glad that it finally worked because
it gives just the right spooky atmosphere for what I wanted.
And my first successful go at using shrinky dinks!
Now that stuff is scarier than my card!
It was so hard to think of appropriate embellies
for this card…but mini skeletons and witches seemed just right
~ what do you think?
The stampettes at
FSC have come up with some jaw-dropping creations to inspire you.
Marina from
Cottage Crafts is offering a generous online voucher from her shop for the DT chosen winner.
And last but not least leave us a little bit of yourselves so we can hop on over and leave you lots of love.
This fortnight I had my first ever entry into an art show.
It was an incredible experience, and I would highly recommend it to everyone to have a go at!
There was so much inspiration and people just having a go (including me).
I got a bit of a kick out of seeing my name in the program booklet.
Next year I will do it again for sure, with even more entries!
I also had a couple of wins in blogland…including a fabulous piece made by Hels Sheridan…
can’t wait for the postie to deliver that. Thanks Hels.
Enjoy!
Stamps are from Cherry Pie Art Stamps
