it’s my turn on the blog today with something that I’ve made
for Rubber Dance.
I had so much fun making this card.
The elephant is simply made by swiping cardstock through ink on my craft sheet,
stamping the elephant from African Animals and cutting it out.
I often like to use pencils to add something extra special to the colours.
In this instance I added some pink to help the elephant belong
to the background.
The background is a gel print base with extra paint and stenciling
added to create more interest.
The stamping was added using stamps from
Carved Whimsy Woods.
These worked well for grounding the elephant onto the background.
You can see more about ‘grounding’ an image
over on my YouTube channel here.
The words are sometimes the most difficult thing for me.
When I went looking through my Rubber Dance stash
I found these words in the This Is Me stamp set.
The words were exactly right for this piece.
I hope you enjoyed my card.
