Welcome to Fashionable Stamping’s latest challenge…”Coffee and Cream and a Hint of Dark Chocolate”
If you are visiting my blog for the first time, or dropping by for another look, welcome! And I hope you enjoy my card.

When we were asked to come up with some ideas for challenges, I was just on my way out to have coffee with friends…
and I was looking forward to a very decadent afternoon, so “coffee and cream” sounded right to me!
The vision for this card just evolved over a couple of days, and then it was stuck in my head.
Wow, isn’t it crazy how once an idea gets inside your head, you just can’t get rid of it?..that is exactly what happened this time.

I had a Joanna Sheen stamp of a cat, and thought..”cream”…lol, because we all know that
cats love cream!
The “coffee” was the fun part, mixing a strong brew and using a toothbrush to flick it onto cream card, dripping it and sponging it.
(the smell was fantastic, and I can still smell it on the card!)

So, putting it all together! I masked the tea party stamp and put the big cats behind it.  And that’s pretty much it!
The kittens stamp only had 5 kittens…and I needed more to go right across the front of the card ~ so I just stamped another lot, cut a couple out and added one to each end of the stamped image.  They have been raised on foam mount to give a floating effect, and to take away from the flatness of the masking.
The big cats were water coloured with Vintage DI to add more depth to the card.
This is exactly what was in my head to start with!

Only 3 stamps used on this card…The Tea Party (CI-269) and Kittens (CI-222) from Crafty Individuals and the Maine Coon Cat (JNM537) from Joanna Sheen.
Only 2 inks were used…Sepia Archival Ink and Vintage DI.
Ranger gold embossing powder and ribbon and pearls from my stash complete the list!
