I’ve used shiny card as the base for my card this time. I think that when you use shiny card the colours from the Brushos are more intense.
I sprinkled a little brushos into the corners of the card and spritzed with a little water. I did this from a height and aimed it towards the outside of the card so that it didn’t ‘fly’ everywhere.
Leaves were stamped with StayZon ink as it was onto shiny cardstock.
The leaves were then painted with some brushos. Simply spray a little water onto your craft sheet and sprinkle in the Brusho crystals. It is really easy to paint on.
The sunrays were an after thought, but I was really happy with how it turned out. I made a mix of Brushos and water on my craft sheet and using a sponge I dabbed the Brushos through a stencil.
You don’t need much, the less the better. Just dab the excess moisture on your craft sheet so that the sponge isn’t too wet.
Butterfly Girl #2 has been a favourite stamp of mine for a while. She was stamped onto watercolour card to start with. I sprinkled a really tiny amount of Brushos onto her wings, near her body and lightly sprayed with water. I let it dry naturally as I think the colours are stronger this way. The legs were coloured also with Brushos that had been watered down.
I discovered that the watered down Gamboge colour makes a wonderful skin tone.
Then I simply cut her out and attached to the card.
As a frame I’ve used a black fine liner and a ruler to draw a dotted line on and stamped some words to finish off.
Now it’s your turn to join in the hop!

Stunning! I’d not thought of trying glossy card with my brushos, I’ve really not experimented much with them at all, so I’m going to give that a go today.
To avoid Brushos flying I always spray the water before sprinkling the powder! They are so difficult to control, powerful as they are! You managed perfectly and the result is almost CAS!
This is beautiful Dot, I’d not tried Brusho’s on glossy card but I will now! Thanks for the tip about the gamboge, I’m always on the look out for a good skin tone colour. Have a lovely day, Sue – Rubber Dance DT xx
