Handmade/Floral Challenge at FSC
To know me is to know that I shudder at the thought of making handmade flowers.
For this challenge it isn’t necessary to make your own,
but how would that be challenging myself?
(sometimes I wonder about myself)
Thanks Fliss for this challenge…it really was fun!

(sometimes I wonder about myself)
Thanks Fliss for this challenge…it really was fun!
I had treated myself to the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die set recently
and found that there is a small one in the set which looks great,
so I made 3 flowers in some of my favourite colours.
Then I had to come up with a card!
I am also taking part in the Claudine Hellmuth Collage for Composition course this month
so I have tried to incorporate some of the things I am learning into this card.
And toilet paper!
Yes, the gorgeous blue and yellow background is toilet paper.
Rolled through my cuttlebug and sprayed with dylusional inks
and a little Perfect Pearls Mist.
(thanks Shirl, our industrious leader, for that idea)
I am really liking the flakey, natural look of it.
I am really liking the flakey, natural look of it.
Other details for those following are the memory box die that I have used as a flourish and heat embossed, with black embossing powder, to give an overall lushness to this piece. The three black birds were facing the other way, so I cut them out..turned them over…and black embossed them. (It is just one little stamp). The fairy is stamped onto some scrap alcohol ink cardstock which I lighted a little in the middle, with blending solution, to give a highlight to the image.
I love that you can go back at any time and still keep working with these inks!
One of the hardest things about this making this card
was knowing when enough was enough…
was knowing when enough was enough…
And that’s about it
Just a little alcoholic ink, some dylusionals, toilet paper and hey presto!
Please pop over to FSC and check out the other incredible creations from the Stampettes.
Be inspired.
And join in the fun!
You’ll have a chance at winning an on-line voucher
from Marina’s Cottage Crafts shop
Enjoy!

Any number of fab ideas and tips here. It is also very self evident that you are mastering composition. You have so got right when to stop on this and how to put it all together (in my humble opinion). Love the embossed die cuts and the colours you have used. Need to see what else you create so I am now following. Thanks for your lovely comment. Hugs, Buttons x
