A HUGE thankyou to Shirley for letting me write up the challenge this fortnight at Fashionable Stamping Challenges. It was heaps of fun!
For this challenge, every time I sat down and thought about “times gone by” I kept thinking of a photo album.
And how much fun it is to look back at the past and be reminded of things and people from what seemed so long ago. Things that we often forget.
Sometimes it is like another world, another time, another person around which things have happened.
When we remember these times it is always the good things that come to mind and bring a smile to our face.
And that is the inspiration for this card…

A little reminder that I am offering this card as a give-away when I reach 50 followers…so spread the word.
I have made a photo frame from an ivy stamp.
Picked a Tim stamp that is from a long time ago.
And put today’s generations looking back at the picture.
If you look closely you can see a baby, a lady and a granddad all looking at the photo. They are stamped onto acetate and raised above the photo to give a hovering effect, but it probably looks better in real life. It is difficult to get a good picture when acetate is used. The baby is stamped, water coloured with DI and stuck to the underside of the acetate.

I have only recently bought my first 3 colours of alcohol inks, so I have used them all on both glossy cardstock (that’s the frame that I have cut out) and on acetate, which I used to cover over the photo stamp. A little bit of blending solution was used to give the “spotlight” effect on the children.
Stamps that I have used include ~
Stamp It – Faith bird
??? – writing
Tim Stamps…a few
Crafty Individuals – CI 277
Artee Stamps – Miss Swanson
Imprint – Up Hill Ride

Such an enchanting card Dot, I just love it. The use of the alcohol ink on the acetate and spotlighted over the children is superb and the frame looks fabulous with the child looking into times gone by.
