“Time for Wine”

I’m feeling excited and a little mind-boggled to think that I have made 200 cards and shared them across blogworld for all to see.

I really would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has taken time in their day to visit my blog from all over the world…and have give advice, guidance and encouragement…shared some pretty amazing and awesome comments…and have been friends in ways you can’t imagine.

It seemed fitting to celebrate my 200th post with a celebratory glass of wine! (I know…any excuse lol)

This card was made for a friend’s birthday…
it has a touch of the Mediterranean and was made for a fiery Italian
who loves his vegie garden and a nice drop of wine.
I love the bleach blocking technique from recent cards that I have made and thought it would have a perfect effect for this project.
I wanted the colours to be rich and natural.
Some reverse stenciling, some subtle water colouring with DI’s of the leaves, grapes and wine…and that is it.
To help celebrate my 200th post I would like to show you 2 things…
firstly, the first card I ever posted 3 1/2 years ago!
I remember making it for my niece Emma’s birthday.
It does have a little ink, but not much (I guess you have to start somewhere)…this was the first stamp that I bought and I kind of thought I might get into Tilda cards.

and secondly, some fun that I had recently when I was playing around with YouTube…these are some of my cards over the last 6 months that I really like. It was heaps of fun to put together ~ and I hope you enjoy it too.

It has been, and still is, an incredible journey…with surprise twists and turns
and so many new things to learn.
It was fun (and scary!) to look back ~ but good for the soul.
