Sad Story
I had call out of the blue the other night and I was asked if I would make a sympathy card for their friend.
The friend’s son had died 2 1/2 years ago
but no body had been found till recently.
Tragically he had driven into the desert, walked off and never returned.
He loved his guitar and music
and she wanted a card made to celebrate this about him.
But no words!
It was to be an uplifting card to highlight something beautiful about their child.
The doves are for peace of mind, one for each parent.
The colours are muted but reflect life.
And the guitar and music notes are for the young man.
I wish peace for the soul of the young man,
closure for the parents
and a life celebrated, not mourned…
and I truly hope this card reflects that.
I am entering this card into the following challenges ~
What a beautiful, fitting tribute. It will most certainly provide comfort to his parents. Hope all is well. Bet, Yvonne
What a very sad story Dot and so difficult for the family to cope with but hopefully they'll get some closure now.

The card is beautiful Dot. The soft hues of blue, the very proud guitar standing tall and the doves of peace all combine to reflect the feelings for the family of the tragic circumstances of this young man's death. A very fitting tribute for your friend to share with the parents.

Wow Dot. Creating something fitting for this sort of occasion is quite something and I reckon you've cracked it perfectly here. Love your choice of colours and the whole way you've added the different elements. Hugs, Buttons x
Dot such a sad and difficult time for the parents and for the person giving the card.
You have created something so beautiful considering the difficult brief you were given.
