“Mask It”
Is the theme this fortnight at FSC
You can choose the masking technique, or stencils or mask stamps…
I have chosen the technique of masking
which is my absolutely all-time favourite technique!
And the reason is because it can add so much depth to a piece and give the impression of more layers than there actually are…I love it!!!
So I grabbed a handful of sea themed stamps
(because it is summer here…and very balmy at the moment)
and away I went!!!

I’ve used mostly Chocolate Baroque stamps and an ocean stamp from Cherry Pie.
The new thing for me to play with this time around is
Specialty Paper from TH.
Wow…this is seriously awesome paper – and the inks blend so effortlessly on it.
I found that I needed to be careful stamping though
as the shiny paper was a little slippery.
I guess it is a lot like stamping onto acetate.
Splattering it with water was so easy too, amazing stuff!

I used archival ink for the stamping in the foreground
and Distress inks in the background and for blending around the shells.

Marina at Cottage Crafts is offering an online voucher to her store for the winner,
runners up and spotlights are up for grabs to!
The Fashionettes have some gorgeous inspiration for you so please pop on over to
FSC and check them all out and leave a little love…
These girls are amazing each and every time they create something!
Please be inspired and join in the fun…

Enjoy!
